Eligibility Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Undergraduate: A secondary school leaving certificate equivalent to the German Abitur.

  • Postgraduate: A relevant undergraduate degree; some programs may require work experience.

  • Language Proficiency: English Language Requirements: Required scores in English vary depending on the program

Visa Requirements:

  • Proof of Financial Capacity: As of 2024, you must demonstrate a minimum of €11,904 per year (approximately €992 per month) to cover living expenses, including accommodation, food, and other necessities.

  • Health Insurance: Mandatory for all students; ensure you have coverage before arrival.

  • Student Visa: Apply at the German embassy or consulate in your home country.

  • Residence Permit: Register your residence and apply for a residence permit upon arrival in Germany.

Work while studying in th Germany

  • Minimum Wage: In Germany, all employees are entitled to a minimum wage of €12.41 per hour, which ensures that you receive fair compensation for your work. This applies to international students as well, allowing them to earn a decent wage while studying.

  • During Term Time: International students can work part-time for up to 20 hours per week.

  • During Holiday Breaks: Students can work full-time, typically up to 40 hours per week.

  • Internships: Internships related to your field of study are permissible.
